Community by Nature is a Liverpool based charity whose aim is to improve the health and wellbeing, resilience and life chances of people experiencing social and economic deprivation through community learning and support, play and forest school.

Since 1995 we have worked with schools and pupil referral units, early years/play settings and youth and community groups delivering forest school programmes, forest school and play training, residentials, large scale outdoor community events and grass route learning schemes.

Based in our own community centre in Linacre Ward – Bootle, we support children and families an area of extreme deprivation. In partnership with our local community we have developed our outdoor green space into an urban oasis.

Learning and developing outdoors through the natural environment underpins all our activity and learning opportunities as we recognised this as the most effective way to promote learning and improve health and wellbeing.
